There are: “the winery”, “the stables” and “the cooperage”. The three granite buildings that line the hillside vineyards can be home to a whole world! One can imagine the crowded terraces on their terraces in summer, the Monopoly evenings by the fireplace and the endless swimming in the (almost Olympic) swimming pool hidden behind the cooperage. The Omu di Cagna, a rock set at an altitude of 1200 meters, watches over this semblance of a hamlet that makes the sincere heart of the Ortolo Valley beat.
Castellu di Baricci: a family (ies) estate
5 generations of women have taken turns at the head of the estate since the beginning of the 19th century. 15 hectares of vines in production, olive trees and a name that tells the story of a medieval castle on the heights… But one can also evoke the lemon trees, the unobstructed view of the mountains, the impression of the end of the world and the immensity that emanates from the Castellu Di Baricci Estate, in Corsica, near Sartene. Laurence and her daughter Elisabeth watch over their wild kingdom that they share with passing guests. With no ostentation, none, the 3 Corsican houses have a well-soaked soul.
“Cracking stairs, a bunk bed and flowery curtains”
Flower curtains and herbariums soberly framed above the beds set the tone. The wooden staircase, which growls at every step, leads to several rooms (the houses can accommodate 2 to 10 people) furnished in a summary way, without any taste mistakes. In the summer, the sun stumbles over the shutters when they are down, while the thick walls filter the murmurs. One feels good in this family paradise, listening to nature. The winery produces a 100% vermentinu white wine with pale yellow highlights. We advise you to taste it, at nightfall, for its fragrances of white flowers and its honeyed notes which announce starry twilights.
